Hi Reader
Welcome to the first edition of the Feel-Good Ops + Other Life Notes newsletter. A dose of positivity and how to make your business work better!
Today's topic works wonders for your business, and one I have been reminded about this week so wanted to share with you.
Feel-Good Automations!
Ahh, the power of automations! The last few weeks have been full of content creation, setting the Q1 2025 schedules for blogs, emails and socials. With a launch coming in January it felt there was a lot to cover, and each piece of content had a knock on effect.
These knock on effects are managed brilliantly by the power of automations in project and task management software and they make life so much easier! They are often an under used function of a lot of platforms, but they are really straight forward to set up and as soon as you start using them, you'll wonder where they have been in your business foundation and why you are only doing it now! They really are that good.
Let's take writing a blog post as an example. A simple workflow is to draft the blog, proof, find the graphic and schedule to publish on your website. But smart marketers know that a blog isn't just a blog! This content should be repurposed as much as possible, so publishing a blog should trigger an email newsletter and social posts at the very least. But remembering to schedule tasks in for those next actions can slip through the cracks or be delayed as other priorities come up.
This is where automations can work wonders for your productivity!
By creating and scheduling tasks for this content repurposing automatically as soon as you tick the blog off as completed. These tasks will then appear in your to-do list, it's one less thing to remember and you'll be sure you're making the most of your blog in a timely fashion!
If you haven't explored automations yet and you use an online platform to manage your business, take some time this week to see what's offered. Most platforms offer a level of automations on paid plans. I can recommend ClickUp and Teamwork Projects as good options, ClickUp specifically is fab.
They really do streamline your workflows and give you back some headspace!
Have a great week,
Katie
